This standard specifies that a 25 pin DB25 connector is used to specify the signal content of each pin of the connector and the levels of various signals. The serial port of the DB25 usually only uses pins 2 (RXD), 3 (TXD), and 7 (GND). With the continuous improvement of the equipment, the DB25 pin is rarely seen now. Instead of the DB9 interface, the pins used by the DB9 are different from those used by the DB25. They are 2 (TXD), 3 (RXD), and 5 (GND). Therefore, the RS232 interface is now called DB9.
